A gutsy retro action game

Gastro Force is a premium action game that thrusts you into the heart of an intergalactic crisis as gargantuan aliens threaten space colonies by devouring starships whole. As the last soldier of an elite space group, you need to infiltrate these colossal alien beasts and save the day.

Gastro Force's premise is simple yet intriguing: set up a bomb to vanquish an alien monstrosity. You'll journey through over 30 levels teeming with gastric juices, battling grotesque creatures along the way. The claustrophobic atmosphere akin to Wolfenstein adds to the tension, while the DOOM-inspired monsters and graphics bring a retro charm.

Engaging galactic shooter with some limitations

Gastro Force's gameplay harks back to the golden age of shooters, complete with secret rooms and key cards. While the core mechanics remain true to its predecessors, you'll navigate relatively large levels with a helpful map to guide your way. The thrill of discovering secret areas and unlocking new weapons adds a layer of excitement to the already thrilling gameplay.

Speaking of weapons, this indie adventure title offers a variety of armaments, from humble metal pipes to powerful rocket launchers. The weapon upgrade system allows you to enhance your arsenal so you'll get the firepower you need to take on hordes of alien foes. Engaging boss fights further punctuates the action-focused gameplay, thereby adding intense showdowns to the enthralling mix.

However, there are a couple of caveats that might affect your enjoyment. Firstly, the game's field of view feels somewhat limited for a first-person shooter as it occasionally hinders your spatial awareness. This can slightly affect the immersion of the game. Additionally, the absence of an option to invert the camera controls may prove problematic for players who prefer an inverted setup.

Cool element combinations

Gastro Force delivers a nostalgic dive into retro gaming, combining elements from classic shooters to create an intriguing experience. With its eerie atmosphere, secret-filled levels, and thrilling boss battles, it offers a satisfying dose of old-school shooter action. However, the restricted field of view and lack of camera control options might deter some players, especially those who are more familiar with wider spatial views and inverted setup.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
